How is carboxytherapy performed at Dr. Mari Laasma’s Clinic?
We use the CARBO2 HPT device in our clinic.
During the procedure, a controlled amount of carbon dioxide (CO₂) is injected under the skin. It remains active at the injection site for 4–5 minutes before being absorbed and naturally eliminated via the kidneys and lungs.
A mild swelling and redness may appear at the injection site, which usually resolves on its own.
The CO₂ momentarily reduces the oxygen level in tissues, triggering a response in the body: oxygen-rich blood is sent to the area, blood vessels dilate, and capillary permeability improves.
This increased circulation activates skin cells, promotes collagen synthesis, and accelerates the breakdown of fat cells.
The result: smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin.
How many sessions are needed?
We recommend up to 10 sessions, spaced 1 week apart. A new treatment course can be repeated every 6–8 months if needed.
