Cosmelan® is a unique depigmentation treatment that combines active ingredients to target all stages of chronic hyperpigmentation development (a total of 9 phases). It works by removing existing pigment accumulations from the skin and inhibiting the formation of new pigmentation at the cellular level.
The Cosmelan® treatment is performed in the clinic as a one-time procedure. It begins with skin preparation, followed by the application of an intensive depigmenting mask. The client removes the mask at home 6–8 hours later according to the instructions provided.
On the 7th day after the procedure, the Cosmelan 2 home care program begins and continues for up to 6 months. This home care phase is the most critical part of the depigmentation process, and treatment effectiveness is evaluated in collaboration with the client throughout the process.
The procedure includes the following home care products:
- Cosmelan 2 – intensive depigmenting cream
- Melan Recovery – soothing and restoring cream
- Mesoprotech Melan 130 Pigment Control SPF 50 – high-protection sunscreen
