PLLA collagen stimulation

PLLA –  a new-generation collagen-stimulating treatment that restores volume and delivers naturally radiant, firm skin.

As we age, our skin loses natural collagen, which leads to sagging and volume loss. Collagen is a protein that keeps skin plump and elastic, helping cells regenerate and repair. It plays a key role in maintaining youthful skin.

PLLA (Poly-L-lactic acid) is a filler/biostimulant that stimulates collagen production deep within the skin. It is one of the most sought-after treatments in the aesthetic world, with results that can last up to 2 years!

PLLA offers a safe and effective solution for restoring lost collagen, rejuvenating, and revitalizing the skin. It is particularly effective for those with visible signs of aging, skin laxity, thinning skin, sagging neck skin, and chest wrinkles. However, it is also suitable as a preventive treatment for those with mild aging signs – restoring skin tone, elasticity, and a radiant texture.

Indications for PLLA:

  • Wrinkles, thinning skin, sagging
  • Volume loss in cheeks, temples, and cheekbones

In addition to the face, the procedure is also ideal for the neck, hands, décolleté, buttocks, thighs, hips, abdomen, arms, and more.

Benefits of PLLA:

  • Safe: PLLA has been used in the medical field for over 30 years
  • Science-backed
  • FDA approved
  • Stimulates natural collagen synthesis
  • Long-lasting results: up to 2 years or more
  • Suitable for multiple facial and body indications
  • Quick recovery
  • Minimally invasive procedure

How does PLLA differ from hyaluronic acid fillers?

Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers that simply “fill” the area, PLLA particles work deep within the skin to stimulate natural collagen production. This results in a more natural and long-lasting outcome. As collagen stimulation happens gradually over a few months, the results appear subtle and natural and can last up to 2 years.

When will I see results?

Some initial changes may be visible immediately after the procedure, but the final result typically appears within 2 to 3 months.

How many PLLA treatments are needed?

This varies by individual. In many cases, a single PLLA session may be enough to achieve the desired result. For more advanced aging signs, 1 to 3 sessions spaced a few months apart are recommended to achieve long-lasting results.

What is the recovery time?

Most patients can return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure. However, mild redness and swelling in the treated area are possible.

To ensure an even and natural result, it’s recommended to massage the treated area regularly during the first two weeks.

Lanluma vs. Sculptra

Lanluma is a next-generation PLLA product that typically requires fewer sessions and a smaller number of vials compared to Sculptra, making it a faster and more cost-effective solution.
